First Aid at Work (FAW)
Face-to-Face Course
The First Aid at Work (FAW) qualification is a comprehensive, three-day course designed for workplaces with higher levels of risk or larger numbers of employees.
This nationally recognised Level 3 qualification meets the requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and provides learners with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to manage a wide range of emergency and non-emergency situations.
Delivered face-to-face by experienced, knowledgeable trainers, this course combines practical, hands-on learning with clear, structured theory. Delegates will leave fully prepared to act as a competent First Aider in their workplace.

Course Content
Learners will cover a wide range of first aid topics, including:
Roles and responsibilities of a First Aider
Primary and secondary surveys
CPR and safe use of an AED
Managing an unresponsive casualty
Choking
Seizures
Shock
Wounds, bleeding, and catastrophic bleeding control
Burns and scalds
Fractures, sprains, strains, and soft tissue injuries
Head, neck, and spinal injuries
Chest injuries
Eye injuries
Poisoning
Anaphylaxis and use of autoinjectors
Minor injuries and illness management
Diabetes, Asthma, Angina and Heart Attack, Stroke, Hyperthermia, Hypothermia
Assessment & Certification
Assessment is carried out through a combination of practical demonstrations, activities, and a short written assessment. Successful learners will receive a Level 3 First Aid at Work certificate, valid for three years.

3 days (18 contact hours)/ Blended 1 Day online plus 12 contact hours
