  • Anaphylaxis Awareness and Autoinjector Training

    An essential course for anyone who has responsibility for the care of adults or children, who suffer from Anaphylaxis and are prescribed an Auto Injector manufactured by EpiPen or Jetx. One in three of the total UK population - around 18 million people -suffer from some form of allergy (Royal College of Physicians 2003) Anaphylaxis is a severe, life threatening, generalised or systemic hypersensitivity reaction. According to the Resuscitation Council UK, many patients with genuine anaphylactic reaction are not given the correct treatment.

  • Automated External Defibrillation (AED) Training

    Automatic external defibrillation and CPR basic life support. This course is for those who need to learn how to use an Automated External Defibrillator. This device can be used to administer measured electric shocks during CPR to people in cardiac arrest and is the best way of increasing the chance of survival. You will be trained to recognise a cardiac arrest and how to treat it.

  • Babysitting

    A brand new one day training course for babysitters. The course teaches first aid training, health and safety basics, fire safety, accident prevention and babysitting skills and also offers advice on manual handling methods. These essentials are designed to give the trainee confidence to cope with situations in someone else’s home and to be able to deal with wider babysitting issues

  • Children and Babies First Aid

    This course ensures that you know how to deal with life-threatening conditions and covers basic life support techniques for infants.

  • Children and Babies First Aid - CPR and Choking

    A two-hour course to cover CPR and choking in babies and young children.

  • CIEH Level 1 Award in Food Safety in Catering.

    The CIEH Level 1 awards in food safety are run as half-day courses, suitable for a variety of candidates, including new employees with minimal or no prior food safety knowledge, employees handling low-risk or wrapped food or those who work front of house, such as waiting or check out staff, as well as back of house such as kitchen porters or warehouse staff. There will be a CIEH 15 question exam at the end of the course.

  • CIEH Level 1 in Health and Safety in The Workplace

    This qualification will benefit those who are entering the workplace for the first time, either as part of a work experience programme or at the start of employment, by providing an awareness of key health and safety issues and the part that they should play in keeping themselves and others free from harm at work. It will also benefit those who are starting a new job – as part of an induction programme. There will be a CIEH 15 question exam at the end of the course.

  • CIEH Level 2 Award Healthier Food and Special Diets

    The course is designed to give all individuals preparing food with all the information they need to prepare nutritious food. They will be able to develop both healthy recipes and cater to a variety of dietary requirements, therefore giving individuals the ability and confidence to respond to customer concerns and questions. There will be a CIEH 30 question exam at the end of the course.

  • CIEH Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

    This course is suitable for individuals required by their employers to undertake responsibility for first aid arrangements in areas where there is not a requirement for a qualified first aider e.g. lower risk environments such as offices. There is a multiple choice test and practical assessment.

  • CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness

    Under the Food Information Regulations 2014, food business operators have a legal responsibility to provide complete and correct food allergen information to customers. These regulations apply to all catering and retail businesses that serve or sell loose foods. This half day CIEH Level 2 Award in Food Allergen Awareness course has been designed to help food handlers to: • Understand the impact of food allergy and intolerance • Identify, manage and control the risks associated with food allergens • Apply the principles of practical allergen management to develop good practice in the workplace • Provide allergen information, with confidence.

  • CIEH Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling

    Provides an introduction to manual handling operations and the associated regulations – it outlines how manual handling hazards can be identified and controlled to prevent harm being caused. There will be a CIEH 15 question at the end of the course.

  • CIEH Level 2 Award in the Principles of COSHH

    This qualification is designed for those who use substances hazardous to health at work. It introduces candidates to substances, the risks and controls available, and outlines what to expect from a control of substances hazardous to health (COSHH) assessment. The qualification will prepare employees to contribute to the safer use of hazardous substances in their workplaces.

  • CIEH Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work

    The CIEH Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work is a two-unit, three-day course that will enable successful candidates to act as a first aider in their workplace. •Unit 1: Emergency First aid in the Workplace •Unit 2: Recognition and Management of Illness and Injury in the Workplace

  • CIEH Level 3 Award in Food Safety in Catering

  • CIEH Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid

    The CIEH Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid 12 hour course has been developed to meet the requirements set out in the Department for Education’s Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage (2014) for first-aid training in Ofsted-regulated childcare settings.

  • CPR Dentist

    CPR course which satisfies the legal requirement for annual CPR training for dentists. The General Dentist Council state that dentists should undertake 10 hours of medical Emergencies training every 5 years with a recommendation that two hours are undertaken every year.

  • Emergency First Aid at Work

    Individuals required by their employers to undertake responsibility for first aid arrangements in areas where there is not a requirement for a qualified first aider e.g. lower risk environments such as offices.

  • Emergency First Aid at Work for Drivers (Driver CPC)

    The Emergency First Aid at Work for Drivers course is approved by the Joint Approvals Unit for Periodic Training (JAUPT). This seven hour course counts towards the required thirty five hours Driver CPC training and provides professional drivers with the skills and confidence needed to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road. Additionally the course includes how to deal with accidents and emergencies involving children, this is particularly useful for those companies that have school contracts. The course syllabus is such that it complies with HSE requirement for first aid in the workplace, this means an Emergency First aid at Work certificate will also be awarded to all delegates The qualification is renewable every three years which equates to fourteen of the thirty five hours JAUPT requirement in any five years.

  • Epilepsy Awareness and Medication Awareness

    This 3 hour Epilepsy Awareness training covers the causes of epilepsy and helps you to diagnose epileptic seizures. You will learn to about the different types of seizures and how to manage them. It will cover the treatments and side effects of medication.

  • Epilepsy Awareness including Rectal Diazepam

    This 4 hour Epilepsy Awareness training covers the causes of epilepsy and helps you to diagnose epileptic seizures. You will learn to about the different types of seizures and how to manage them. It will cover the treatments and side effects of medication. This course will also cover rectal diazepam.

  • Epilepsy Awareness with Medication Awareness and Anaphylaxis Awareness with Autoinjector Training

    This one day training combines the half day Epilepsy Awareness and Emergency Medication with the half day Anaphylaxis and Auto Injector Training.

    The Fire Regulations and the Fire Precautions Act require all employers to carry out fire safety training for their staff; therefore this course is suitable for all employees.

  • Health and Safety / Manual Handling in Childcare Settings

    A one day course comprising half day Health and Safety in the Childcare Settings and half day Manual Handling in Childcare Settings. It looks at the ways in which childcare workers can promote the health and safety of everyone in childcare settings, including staff, children, parents and visitors. You will learn the principles of lifting and transferring children, accident prevention and basic anatomy. The course will cover the obligations as required in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. This course meets the National Standard 6 and new NOS Unit CCLD202. This course also meets the National Standard 6 & 7 and new NOS Unit CCLD202.

  • Health and Safety in Childcare Settings

    It looks at the ways in which childcare workers can promote the health and safety of everyone in childcare settings, including staff, children, parents and visitors. The aim of this course is to make childcare workers more aware of the hazards in the workplace, what level of risk they present and how they can be reduced. It also explains workers’ legal obligations, their roles and responsibilities in health and safety and aims to make them more aware of policies and procedures in their workplace. This course meets the National Standard 6 & 7 and new NOS Unit CCLD202.

It is not currently available on tablets. For those experience in Food Safety there is a Fast Track option available. There will be a 30 question exam at the end of the course.

  • Manual Handling in Childcare Settings

    This course is designed for employees in the childcare sector, or employees whose job involves the handling of babies and young children. It gives candidates the information to prevent back injury at work. This is vital information for new starters and more experienced workers alike that will help meet ‘Standard 6: Safety’ of the National Standards for under 8’s day care and childminding (Sure Start/Ofsted) and statutory health & safety training. The course will cover the obligations as required in the Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992. This course meets the National Standard 6 and new NOS Unit CCLD202

European and UK legislation will be explained and you will learn the Principles of lifting. The course covers aid to lifting, care-handling and transferring of people, walking and wheelchair management This course is available for adults or paediatrics.

  • Menu Planning for the Care Sector

    Residents and clients within care settings often have particular dietary needs and requirements. This one day course examines the recent thinking about healthy eating and provides managers of the service with practical help to design appropriate menus for different client groups.

    Malnutrition Universal Screening Tool. This half day course will teach you how to assess nutritional status of people at risk of malnutrition. It will help you give dietary advice. This course is suitable for anyone working in care homes or hospitals.

  • Nutrition for Nursery Cooks

    A course suitable for Nursery cooks and those responsible for the provision of children's meals and snacks within Early Years settings. The course comprises a series of study days looking at nutrition, healthy eating, food preparation, food and nutritional labelling, menu planning and special dietary requirements.

  • Paediatric First Aid

    For those Individuals involved in the care of babies and young children. IMPORTANT INFORMATION For Ofsted to accept your Paediatric First Aid Certificate the training course must be delivered by an organisation that has had their Paediatric First Aid course approved by your Local Authority. This course has been approved by Oxfordshire County Council, the National Childminding Association (NCMA) and the Pre-School Learning Alliance (PSLA).

  • Professional Driver (Driver CPC)

    This 7-hour course approved by JAUPT will teach you the skills to be a professional coach driver. It covers, customer service, customer expectations, wheelchair users and bus stop procedures.

  • Safe London Driving (Driver CPC)

    To make HGV and PCV drivers and operators safer drivers in London. The course includes: vulnerable road users, the changing streetscape, sharing the road with others users, defensive techniques. This 7 hour course is JAUPT approved.
